Some NASCAR Truck Series pit crews still stuck in Charlotte due to weather issues

There are certain pit crew members stuck in Charlotte due to inclement weather. That could be trouble for the NASCAR Truck Series race. Weather delays at the Charlotte airport are threatening to complicate things for tonight’s race.

As long as the planes take off by 3:15 PM EST, it should be fine. However, there is a chance that weather could keep these planes grounded. The eastern United States is getting a bit of rain all over the place, even at Pocono.

Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports spoke with Bill McAnally of McAnally Hilgemann Racing and he isn’t panicking yet. All four of his trucks have their NASCAR Truck Series crews on delayed flights.

Some planes with truck over-the-wall crews are still on the ground in Charlotte b/c weather. Just checked in with Bill McAnally and he said if they leave as currently planned by 3:15, should be ok but will be tight. All four of his crews among those on delayed planes.

Christian Eckes is in contention for the regular season championship and of course, the championship in Phoenix. He has been fantastic. But will he and his teammates have crew members tonight?

This is a developing story…
