After a 45-yard run by Brashard Smith at the end of the half, Colin Rogers makes a 41-yard field goal. SMU leads 20-14 at the half, and BC will get the ball to start the second half.

A similar drive to the first touchdown drive, BC converts on numerous 3rd downs and sneaks into the end zone. SMU still leads, 17-14, with 1:03 to go in the second quarter.

The Mustangs convert on multiple 3rd downs and cap off a 9-play, 92-yard drive with a 2-yard rushing touchdown for Brashard Smith. SMU is back up 10, leading 17-7, with 5:53 to play in the first half.

After missing a “chip shot” 27-yard field goal, Rogers connects from 35 yards out to extend SMU’s lead out to 10. Mustangs up 10-0 with 0:42 remaining in the first quarter.
SMU strikes first

After a missed opportunity to put up points on their first drive, the Mustangs made no mistake on their second drive. SMU went 57 yards on 6 plays that led to a touchdown. Moochie Dixon sealed off the block on a screen play that let Roderick Daniels Jr. tip toe his way into the end zone for the score. SMU up, 7-0, with 7:29 to go in the first quarter.

As they have so often this season, SMU drove down the field on their opening drive. But, after getting into the red zone, Colin Rogers misses the 27-yard field goal to keep the score tied at zero. 11:25 left in the first quarter.
