SMU lands Colorado transfer DB Keyshon Mills

SMU Football continues to address the secondary in the NCAA Transfer Portal and landed a Pac-12 transfer. Colorado defensive back Keyshon Mills committed to the Mustangs, he announced. Mills took an official visit to the Hilltop this weekend.

The former 2022 signee is a part of the mass exodus from Boulder as Deion Sanders revamps the roster. He entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in April and is now coming home to Texas.

The former Little Elm (Tex.) standout did not record any statistics for his true freshman season while redshirting.

On3 ranked him the No. 81 cornerback in the class and No. 129 player from Texas. He held offers from Liberty and Kansas as well.

As a senior, he had four interceptions, eight pass breakups, three tackles for loss, a forced fumble and four touchdown saving tackles.

Mills joins an impressive SMU transfer class. A large Miami contingent is headed to the Hilltop, including offensive lineman Jakai Clark, wide receiver Key’Shawn Smith, defensive lineman Jordan Miller, defensive lineman Elijah Roberts, running back Jaylan Knighton and wide receiver Romello Brinson.

North Texas defensive end Cam Robertson, Temple linebacker Kobe Wilson, Texas offensive lineman Logan Parr, Texas A&M offensive lineman PJ Williams and running back LJ Johnson, Liberty transfers Chris Megginson and Ahmad Walker, Fresno State transfer defensive back Cale Sanders, Missouri transfer offensive lineman Hyrin White, Iowa quarterback transfer Alex Padilla, West Virginia transfer defensive back Charles Woods and Stanford defensive back Jonathan McGill are the other transfer additions for SMU.
