‘Sitting in a good spot’ … 4-star LB Michael Boganowski talks Florida State visit

Kansas’ top-rated 2024 prospect arrived in Tallahassee on Tuesday for a first look at Florida State. Four-star linebacker Michael Boganowski was on campus for two days to soak in the Seminoles football program.

“It was a great visit,” Boganowksi said. “Got to see some stuff, got to learn the program and meet with the coaches.”

According to the On3 Industry rankings, on top of being the best player in his state, the Junction City prospect is also rated as the 39th best linebacker in the country.

Something that really stood out to the 6-foot-2 recruit was how Florida State’s co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Randy Shannon interacted with his players during Tuesday’s workouts.

“He’s out there throwing the ball, running routes,” said Boganowksi. “He’s really into it with his players.”

Boganowski also got the chance to sit down with Florida State head coach Mike Norvell. Norvell’s message seemed to land with the Kansas prospect.

“He said he’ll wait, whenever it feels right,” Boganowski said. “I always have an opportunity to come play here, so I appreciate hearing that as a recruit.”

“Feeling right” was one of the themes from Boganoski’s interview. He will now go back to his home state and take a visit to Kansas State. KSU is only 22 minutes from Junction City, and the Wildcats currently lead for him on the On3 recruiting prediction machine.

But Boganowski is not discounting Florida State.

“They’re sitting in a good spot,” he said of the Semioles. “They really gave us something to think about.”

Boganowski also shared that he would like to come back to Tallahassee for another visit.
