Simmons Scoop: The latest on Demarcus Riddick, Kevin Riley and multiple top 2025 prospects

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner University was the host of this year’s All Gas Training Showcase. It was a short two hour session where quarterbacks, wide receivers and running backs worked out hour one and defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs in hour two.
Adrian Steele runs the program and he trains athletes in the state of Alabama as well as runs the 7-on-7 team.
On3’s Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons was in attendance Sunday and here are some quick hits on some of the top prospects that competed.
The biggest name was Demarcus Riddick. The four-star linebacker out of Chilton County showed up in Georgia shorts, Auburn gloves dangling and Alabama and Auburn bracelets on. He is a long-time Georgia commit, but he will announce his final decision on Wednesday, his mother’s birthday. I have liked Auburn for a few weeks and I heard nothing to change my feelings on Sunday. There has been some confidence at Alabama, but I continue to hear more about the Tigers for the No. 31 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings.
Kevin Riley is a four-star running back out of Tuscaloosa County and he is committed to Miami. He was wearing Miami gloves, Miami shorts and the orange Adidas cleats Miami has worn before. Auburn invited him to visit next weekend for Big Cat, but Riley does not plan to attend. He said all the right things about Miami and his commitment status if you are a fan of the Hurricanes.
KJ Jackson is an Arkansas commit and the left-handed quarterback out of St. James will be back in Fayetteville this weekend. He is a big fan of Dan Enos.
2025 running back Alvin Henderson will take his first visit to Oregon this weekend. It is still early, but keep an eye on Auburn with Henderson. Alabama is involved, as are other programs like Florida State and Georgia, but I like where the Tigers sit for the elite junior.
Zion Grady is the No. 15 prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He released his top 10 Sunday, but early on, it looks like this could become a battle between Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. He is from Georgia and he grew up a fan of the Bulldogs. Alabama and Auburn have already had the defensive lineman out of Charles Henderson on campus around 10 times each. He will visit Tennessee this weekend.
Eric Winters is a very intriguing prospect in the 2025 class. The four-star out of Enterprise is ranked as a safety, but he could grow into a very athletic linebacker. He is liking schools like Auburn, Clemson and Georgia early. He worked out Sunday in Georgia gloves and camped in Athens in June.
Daylyn Upshaw will be back at Auburn Saturday for Big Cat. Auburn offered the 2025 wide receiver early and they are a top school on his list. Florida State is up there as well, but Auburn looks to be in the best spot early. Marcus Davis is a big reason. Location only helps Auburn as well with the playmaker at Central.
Malik Autry grew up an Auburn fan and he is committed to the school not too far from home, but the 2025 defensive lineman out of Opelika is visiting Florida again Tuesday. He was at the Swamp for the first time in June. Georgia, the first school to offer, also had him on campus last month. He is excited about Auburn, but Autry is definitely keeping his options open.
