Seton Hall center Alexis Yetna to officially visit Ole Miss

Seton Hall graduate transfer Alexis Yetna is set to officially visit Ole Miss on Wednesday, as first reported by CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. The Paris, France prospect missed the 2022-2023 season after suffering a knee injury but is eligible to play in 2023-2024 after earning his degree.
This season will be Yetna’s seventh at the college level. He only played in three of the previous six years in college, though. He missed his true freshman season at USF due to an eligibility issue and then missed two more seasons due to injuries. But, his first active season at the college level was the 2018-19 season when he won AAC Freshman of the Year. He averaged 12.3 points and 9.6 rebounds per game for the Bulls, starting in 34 of 36 games.
Since entering the portal, his 6-foot-8, 225 pound frame and experience has been intriguing to Power 5 programs. He is recently coming off an official visit to West Virginia.
Alexis Yetna was a three-star prospect coming out of Putnam Science Academy.
He was the 222nd overall prospect in the 2017 class. Yetna was the 48th small forward and 3rd-ranked recruit in Connecticut. On3 has him ranked as the 20th overall center in the NCAA Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Ole Miss and Chris Beard have signed quite the doozy of a portal class in 2023.
On3 has the Rebels as No. 11 in the team rankings. Five-Star Plus+ center Moussa Cisse will look to hold down the front court with 7-foot-5 Western Kentucky big man Jamarion Sharp. Auburn’s Allen Flanigan and Georgetown’s Brandon Murray will man the wings and Austin Nunez and Jaylen Murray will be the newcomers in the backcourt.
Matthew Murrell, Jaemyn Brakefield, TJ Caldwell and Robert Cowherd return and give Beard and Co. a bonafide SEC club. And, yes, it not only should but could challenge to dance in March.
