SEC leads all conferences with most On300 signees

SEC leads all conferences with most On300 signees

On Thursday, On3 released the final update to the 2025 On300 Ranking.

“Our goal is to assess a prospect’s long-term potential in college football, as manifested by the NFL Draft,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said of the On300 Ranking. “We work towards finishing with 32 five-stars every cycle, with that group being minted in this final release.”

With less than a week until the February National Signing Day, just three prospects in the On300 remain unsigned. The other 297 recruits have signed with a school and may already be on campus — and nearly half of them are heading to the SEC.

The 297 signed prospects in the 2025 On300 are spread among nine different conferences and independent Notre Dame. Where they are going:

SEC: 141 On300 signees

Although the national champion has come from the Big Ten Conference the past two seasons, still no conference is recruiting better top to bottom than the SEC.

Nearly half of the prospects in the final On300 Ranking will be heading to SEC campuses next season. Two-thirds of the 141 SEC signees are spread among seven programs: Texas (15), Georgia (14), Tennessee (14), Texas A&M (14), Auburn (13), Alabama (12) and LSU (12).

Half of the conference — eight teams — signed an On3 five-star prospect this cycle, with 18 of the 32 five-stars going to SEC schools. Every SEC school finished with at least one On300 recruit.

Three of On3’s final top five prospects signed with an SEC program: Duncanville (Texas) quarterback Keelon Russell with Alabama, Pooler (Ga.) Savannah Christian defensive lineman Elijah Griffin with Georgia, and Texarkana (Texas) Pleasant Grove EDGE Lance Jackson with Texas.

Big Ten: 80 On300 signees

Unsurprisingly, the Big Ten’s On300 numbers were dominated by three schools: Ohio State, Oregon and Michigan. Thirty-nine of the 80 On300 Big Ten prospects signed with those three programs. No team in the country signed more On300 prospects this cycle than Ohio State did with 16.

Five Big Ten teams signed a five-star this cycle: Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, Penn State and USC. Sixteen of 18 schools ended the cycle with a player in the On300, with Illinois and Northwestern as the exceptions.

Michigan quarterback signee Bryce Underwood was On3’s wire-to-wire No. 1 overall recruit. He flipped from LSU to the Wolverines in November. Six of the Big Ten’s 10 On3’s five-stars were split evenly between the Buckeyes and Ducks.

ACC: 41 On300 signees

Four schools separated themselves from the rest of the pack in the ACC: Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Clemson.

Miami, Florida State and Cal signed the lone On3 five-stars in the conference: Los Angeles Oaks Christian EDGE Hayden Lowe (Hurricanes) and Milton (Fla.) Pace EDGE Tylon Lee (Seminoles). Five-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele initially signed with Oregon before transferring to Cal and ending up with the Golden Bears’ 2025 class.

Big 12: 19 On300 signees

Nineteen On300 prospects were spread between 10 Big 12 programs this cycle. TCU led the group with four with Colorado right behind.

No five-stars ultimately signed with a Big 12 school, but Kansas State signee Linkon Cure ranked No. 51 nationally in the On300 and was a top-50 recruit in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Two other On300 top-100 prospects signed with Big 12 teams: Keller (Texas) offensive tackle Kilian Registe ranked No. 73 overall and signed with TCU. Algona (Iowa) quarterback Alex Manske was No. 55 overall (No. 8 among QBs) and will play for the home-state Cyclones.

Notre Dame: 11 On300 signees

Not far behind the Big 12’s total numbers is Notre Dame by itself. The Fighting Irish signed 11 On300 prospects ahead of a run to the national championship game.

Wallingford (Conn.) Choate Rosemary Hall offensive tackle Will Black was a five-star recruit and On3’s No. 1 OT in the 2025 class. He was joined in the top 150 by Chicago Simeon DL Christopher Burgess Jr. (No. 66), Winston Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor DB JaDon Blair (No. 71), Indianapolis Ben Davis CB Mark Zackery IV (No. 119), Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame De La Baie TE James Flanigan (No. 131), Tampa Berkeley Prep CB Dallas Golden (No. 133) and San Diego JSerra Catholic LB Madden Faraimo (No. 145).

Group of 5: Five On300 signees

Five Group of 5 schools finished the 2025 cycles with incoming players ranked in the final On300:

No. 158: Pleasanton (Calif.) Amador Valley QB Tristan Ti’a — Oregon State

No. 267: Brunswick (Md.) QB Ethan Houck — Liberty

No. 270: Merrillville (Ind.) Andrean S James Finley — Northern Illinois

No. 274: Havelock (N.C.) WR Jonathan Williams — East Carolina

No. 284: Jefferson (Texas) RB Kamran Williams — UNLV
