Scoreboard Rundown: Top-ranked Boyle County finishes regular season undefeated
And that’s a wrap on the 2024 Kentucky high school football regular season. Friday night marked the final stretch of games before the playoffs officially begin across the state next week. We were treated to some thrilling matchups, as well.
For starters, top-ranked Boyle County, led by Kentucky WR commit Montavin Quisenberry, took down No. 10 Frederick Douglass at home 38-17 as the Rebels finished the regular season undefeated for the second straight season. Boyle County will be the clear favorite to win the Class 4A state championship once again. Perry County Central will travel to Danville this Friday for the Rebels’ postseason opener.
Elsewhere, No. 8 DuPont Manual pulled off a 21-0 shutout of a banged-up No. 5 Male team. That wasn’t the only upset in Louisville though. No. 19 Bowling Green shocked St. Xavier to the tune of a 26-9 win. No. 21 Hart County snuck past Campbellsville 21-14 while No. 9 Owensboro Catholic had no problem with North Hardin (RV) in KSR’s Game of the Week, winning 49-7 at Steele Stadium in western Kentucky.
Below you can find all of the final scores from teams among KSR’s Top 25 rankings, along with the teams outside of the rankings that received votes from our panel of 10 voters. We have compared the final result to the pregame predictions from On3’s Massey Ratings. It’s almost playoff time, folks.
