ScoopDuck Predicts: Two New Recruiting Predictions

Coming off a big weekend the picture is getting slightly clearer for Oregon. With the Ducks casting a wide recruiting net, that means a lot of names to track in any given cycle.
This weekend Oregon hosted a big group of names and that led to some clarification on a few targets. With that new intel, I’ve got a couple of updated predictions below.
DB Chris Johnson – ASU
Confidence: 75%
As I mentioned earlier on the boards, Oregon has decided to move on from Chris Johnson. After a workout at camp last week they determined it just wasn’t a fit and will instead move on with other targets at corner. Oregon hosted JUCO Sione Laulea this weekend so we’ll see what comes from his visit to Eugene. USC also remains a serious threat.
I see Johnson now plans on visiting Arkansas as well but right now it appears ASU leads here.
RB Da’Jaun Riggs – Oregon
Confidence 85%
Another update I’m following up on as well. The Ducks hosted Riggs this weekend, a pivotal group of visitors. Despite his ranking, I’m told Oregon is on board with “Dink” as a premier back in the 2024 class. While Oregon is recruiting others as well, they are all in on Riggs and have left the door open to taking two backs in this cycle.
Riggs told the Prodigy he would be committing on July 3 and from their conversation, JC thinks the Ducks are the team to beat as well.
