Saquon Barkley injury update: NBC broadcast reveals latest on Eagles RB’s wrist
As the NFC Divisional between the LA Rams and Philadelphia Eagles headed into halftime, NBC had the latest on an injury for RB Saquon Barkley.
Per NBC’s Melissa Stark, Barkley is dealing with a wrist issue on his left hand that Philly’s training staff checked out. It has since been taped up with him returning to the game after having it looked at.
“Yes, so, when he came over to the sideline, the athletic training staff immediately came to him. They looked at his left wrist and hand, did a quick exam with his glove on. Then they taped it, put his glove back on, and, of course, he went back into the game but it’s something we will continue to keep an eye on,” Stark said.
With that, Cris Collinsworth spoke on the problem that could be for Barkley during halftime.
“The hardest thing to do, whether you get hit in the thigh or the wrist or whatever, is to keep it loose. Like, when you go into halftime, you have to keep heat on it even though you know it’s gonna expand and be worse the next day. But you have to keep it moving to be able to play in the second half,” noted Collinsworth.
