Rusty’s Ramblings: Dawgs set to welcome rest of ’23 class to campus

The remaining members of the Dawgs 2023 class are expected to make their way to Athens this week. They’ll begin checking on Tuesday and the expectation is that almost all of them will be moved in and enrolled by Wednesday. Below is the lest of guys we expect on those two days.

Troy Bowles – ILB

Bo Hughley – OT

Daniel Harris – CB

Chris Peal – CB

Kelton Smith – OL

Kyron Jones – DB

Peyton Woodring – K

Expecting Jamal Meriweather at some point in June if not this week, double checking it.

Before I get questions, I am still thinking Jones comes in at defensive back and not at running back. That was part of his recruitment — long term development at that position and how much longer they play on the next level if he makes it there.  I think in the end, he preferred defensive back over running back and that is why he is at Georgia and not North Carolina State.
