Rusty’s Ramblings: A big visit starting today in Athens

A big official visit is set to start on Tuesday morning with Georgia hosting Arizona State transfer quarterback Jaden Rashada and his family.

I will not beat around the bush here. UGA is the clear team to focus on with this decision as of Tuesday morning. I will also say that several other teams are trying to get him to visit and hold off on making a quick decision.

This visit will wrap up on Thursday and if there is a quick decision by the weekend, then I would think it is Georgia for the Arizona State transfer.

*** Safety is another position we’re hearing some buzz about and that would be still be an option if someone gets into the portal who Georgia thinks can help it win. They have a very talented room there in my opinion, but I am told they would love to add some depth and someone with college experience too.

Quarterback is the priority above all else right now and this is a big visit about to take place with Rashada. Everyone I’ve talked with over the last couple of days about has given the same feedback. He’s a very talented football player, but the early recruitment out of high school got crazy behind the scenes. If it is really development over an NIL decision at this time, Georgia will likely add a QB to their roster before the week is out. We shall see.
