RFK Racing reveals Brad Keselowski Red Sox paint scheme for New Hampshire
RFK Racing revealed Wednesday a special Boston Red Sox-themed paint scheme for Brad Keselowski’s No. 6 BuildSubmarines.com Ford.
Keselowski will pilot the car in the USA TODAY 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, June 23. Carl Edwards piloted a similar paint scheme back in 2007. Keselowski’s firesuit that weekend will resemble a baseball uniform.
“Our partnerships with RFK Racing and the Boston Red Sox are highlighting skilled trades careers in the maritime industry which contribute to the construction of Navy submarines,” said Kiley Wren, Co-Founder and Chief Executive of BlueForge Alliance, the non-profit integrator for the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Industrial Base. “With NASCAR’s annual visit to New England, and our collaboration with one of the region’s most storied sports franchises, we are creating a prime platform to present these stable, family-sustaining, purpose-filled jobs to millions of NASCAR and baseball fans in the region and across the country. We look forward to knocking this out of the park with our friends at RFK and the Red Sox.”
Brad Keselowski riding hot streak in NASCAR Cup Series
Keselowski will look to drive the car to victory lane at one of his best tracks statistically in New Hampshire. He has picked up two wins in Loudon, and has an average finish of 9.8, his best at any racetrack on the current schedule.
Keselowski has been hot of late since snapping a 110-race winless streak at Darlington Raceway last month. He finished P2 in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and followed it up with a P3 result in this past Sunday’s Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway. Keselowski is up to ninth in the points standings, best among all of the Fords in the field.
“That was strategy,” Keselowski said after Gateway. “We got behind early for sure. But we kept putting ourselves in position to keep moving forward. And I wish I could have gotten second but it was a really hard-fought day for everyone on the Solomon Plumbing Ford Mustang. We will take a lot of good momentum from this one for sure.”
