Report: Indiana set to face Louisville at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in December

Indiana basketball has another non-conference matchup set for the upcoming 2025-26 college basketball season.
As reported by Field of 68 College Basketball Analyst Jeff Goodman, Indiana basketball is set to face the Louisville Cardinals in Indianapolis at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on December 6th.

The now marks the third confirmed non-conference matchup for Indiana with them set to face Marquette in Chicago and travel to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats, as well.
“Yeah, Big Ten conference play, we got 20 of those games, so you’ve got to get yourself ready for it, and we want to challenge ourselves in the best way possible to make sure we’ve got some very meaningful non-conference games,” said Darian DeVries in his introductory press conference.
“You have to do a good job of — you’ve got to get your home games, as well, but also make sure we do a great job of getting ourselves ready for Big Ten play and challenging ourselves before we start that.”
Indiana basketball holds an all-time winning record of 12-9 vs Louisville in their series history. These two teams last met a season ago the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in The Bahamas where the Louisville Cardinals easily beat the Hoosiers 89-61.
Indiana finished 19-13 this past season and missed the NCAA Tournament whereas Louisville finished 27-8 making the NCAA Tournament however losing to Creighton in the first round.
The will be the first Indiana basketball season under new head coach Darian DeVreis. The Hoosiers ar win the process of rebuilding their roster with no former players from last year’s team scheduled to come back thus far.
