Report: Georgia-Ga. Tech rivalry game to be played in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium beginning in 2025

The rivalry game between Georgia and Georgia Tech is going to be played in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, starting in 2025, per a report by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Known as Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate, that game in 2025 will become the first time the modern era that the game is played at a field other than Sanford Stadium or Bobby Dodd Stadium. Prior to this it had been played annually from 1925 onward, save for a one season hiatus in 2020. Prior to 1925, Georgia and Georgia Tech also met 19 times, though those weren’t annual matchups.
