Report: Ezekiel Elliott to visit New England Patriots

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will reportedly visit the New England Patriots, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The former Ohio State standout spent his entire career with the Cowboys before hitting free agency this offseason. Amid lack of running back signings this summer, Elliott could be a big domino to fall.
As of now, there’s nothing official regarding Elliott, but he could make his move to the AFC.
“Source: 2x All-Pro RB Ezekiel Elliott is visiting the #Patriots today,” Schultz wrote on Twitter. “This could impact the RB-needy AFC East, as well as the Dalvin Cook derby, since he and Elliott are considered the top backs available. Zeke looked terrific in the videos he posted of his workouts.”
A Cowboys return wasn’t ruled out, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. However, there’s been no movement from either side.
Elliott, 27, rushed for 8,262 yards and 68 touchdowns on 4.4 yards per carry over seven seasons in Dallas. Elliott, however, regressed in 2022. He suited up in 15 games, recording career lows across the board. Elliott rushed for 876 yards on 3.8 yards per carry and had zero 100-yard-plus games. He added 17 receptions for 92 yards. The Cowboys released Elliott in March.
