Report: Cal TE Jack Endries to visit Texas

Cal TE Jack Endries was one of the top players to enter the transfer portal when it opened on Wednesday. Now, Endries reportedly plans to visit Texas.

Endries, a former walk-on with the Golden Bears who earned All-ACC honorable mention accolades in 2024, will visit the Longhorns now that he’s in the portal according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Endries is a former walk-on who has been a significant part of the Cal offense the past two seasons. An unranked prospect in the class of 2022, the 6-foot-4, 240-pound redshirt junior has 91 career receptions for 1030 yards and four touchdowns. During his most recent season in Berkeley, Endries caught 56 balls for 623 yards and two touchdowns.

PFF recently ranked Endries as the second best returning tight end in the nation behind Vanderbilt’s Eli Stowers.

Endries had a PFF offensive grade of 77.0, second on the Golden Bears behind quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Mendoza recently transferred to Indiana, who could also figure into this pursuit. Endries had a pass blocking grade of 77.1 and a run blocking grade of 48.2.

A product of Danville (Calif.) Monte Vista, Endries has two years of eligibility remaining.
