Recruits react to Florida’s loss to Texas A&M

GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA — The Florida Gators suffered a 33-20 loss to Texas A&M on Saturday at The Swamp and several recruits were on hand to witness it. What did they have to say about the experience? Gators Online spoke to several of them after the game.

*2025 UR edge Timothy Griffin, Covington (Ga.) Alcovy: “It was tough loss for the team but I feel like they can bounce back.”

*2026 4-star OL Chancellor Barclay, Orlando (Fla.) First Academy: “I feel like the atmosphere was definitely better this game (than the Miami game).”

*2026 4-star Miami LB commit Jordan Campbell, Miami (Fla.) Carol City: “They fought to the end and the score went to 33-20. So at the end, they still fought. … I just liked how they never gave up. They never let the scoreboard get ugly.”

*2026 4-star DB Clifton Hester, Cocoa (Fla.): “I had a great time in Gainesville. I really like the culture. The atmosphere was crazy. They’re top on my list.”
