Kansas State chances with Boganowski

As reported elsewhere and confirmed by Drew Galloway of KSO, Kansas State target and Junction City linebacker Michael Boganowski will make two more trips before his college decision. He will see Manhattan one more time, followed by a final stop at Oklahoma.

If it tells us anything about the direction of his process, it is a reveal that Kansas is no longer in the picture despite some buzz that suggested the Jayhawks were relevant and playing a factor as his announcement approached.

It also highlights the possibility that his college choice could leak into August rather than being completed this month, which was originally the plan.

Another element is that it could be an effort to acquire more information and clarity on a decision that has become increasingly complicated. In fact, there are rumors of a divided household and inner circle, with some preferring the Sooners and others favoring K-State.

Lateset on Brix

If there is a prospect that Kansas State is chasing harder than Boganowski, and that is saying something, it is that of four-star offensive lineman and Iowa native Grant Brix. And though he’s from the Hawkeye State, being in ear shot of the Nebraska campus is certainly playing a role.

Despite that advantage for the Huskers, Manhattan is not much further from his home in Logan. We continue to emphasize that because proximity is having more and more influence and has become a vital component to his process.

What’s interesting, as we have defined in recent weeks, is that it is considered a three-team battle between K-State, Nebraska and Oklahoma. And while confidence has not dissipated on the Wildcats’ part, the Huskers and Sooners believe they are tussling amongst themselves for Brix’s services.

However, and we have shared it before, KSO has been told multiple times that there is a belief from others that Oklahoma is running third. Unlike what might happen with Boganowski, could Brix still announce in July? Time will tell.
