Purdue wins at Washington with another second-half rout on the road
SEATTLE — No. 17 Purdue shook off poor first-half shooting and a rash of turnovers Wednesday night to rally back from an eight-point halftime hole to win at Washington, 69-58.
After trailing 30-22 at halftime, the Boilermakers opened the second by forcing four straight turnovers and scoring the half’s first seven points. Later, a run of 10 straight points, fueled by Trey Kaufman-Renn, provided the cushion the visitors rode to their third Big Ten road win.
Kaufman-Renn led Purdue with 19 points, and Braden Smith scored 17, Caleb Furst 13 and Fletcher Loyer 12, all in the second half.
