Purdue names Cornell Ford WR coach

Purdue coach Barry Odom has his receivers coach, tabbing Cornell Ford, per a school release on Friday.

Ford spent the last two seasons with Odom at UNLV as running backs coach. He also worked with Odom at Missouri, coaching safeties in 2001-03 and cornerbacks from 2004-19. Ford was on the Toledo staff in 2020-21, as well as from 1996-2000.

Purdue has now officially hired nine assistants: Ford, ST James Shibest, DC/LBs Mike Scherer, DBs Charles Clark, QB Darin Hinshaw, DE Jake Trump, DL Kelvin Green, OC/TE Josh Henson and RB Lamar Conard.
