Purdue LB Jacob Wahlberg has entered the portal

In a bit of a surprise, Purdue linebacker Jacob Wahlberg has entered the transfer portal.

Wahlberg was expected to start at one of the inside linebacker spots on the Boilermaker defense, part of a unit that also included O.C. Brothers, Clyde Washington and Yanni Karlaftis.

Wahlberg arrived as part of the Class of 2019, playing mostly on special teams and in reserve.
