Purdue football schedule changes: Oregon, at Michigan State games moved to Friday nights
Ready for some Friday night football? It’s coming to Purdue this season, when the Boilermakers play host to Oregon on Oct. 18 at 8:30 p.m. ET on the CW and play at Michigan State at 8 p.m. ET on FOX on Nov. 22. The announcements were made today.
The game vs. Oregon originally was scheduled to be played on Oct. 19. The game at Michigan State was slated to be played on Nov. 23.
Last year, Purdue played host to Wisconsin on a Friday night, losing 38-17. It was the first time Purdue had played host to a Friday night Big Ten game. The last time Purdue played at home on a Friday night was vs. Ohio in 2017, a 44-21 win in Jeff Brohm’s first season.
The only other time Purdue played a Friday night road Big Ten game was in the COVID-addled 2020 season, when it dropped a controversial 34-31 decision at Minnesota on Nov. 20.
Purdue began the 2022 season with a Thursday night home game vs. Penn State, losing 35-31.
