Priority safety target Braylon Conley will use weekend to finalize decision

Humble (Tex.) Atascocita three-star safety Braylon Conley is nearing his June 30 commitment date.
Conley took his official visit to USC in May with the first group of his visitors. Since that visit USC has publicly been considered the leader by many.
With only one week away from his announcement, I checked in with Conley to get the details on his upcoming decision.
Conley tells me he has not yet made a final choice of what his college will be. He says he will use this upcoming weekend to dot his I’s and cross his T’s. Coming out of the weekend, he will have his decision.
A good sign here ahead of his decision is that USC rose significantly in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine today. Following a Scott Schrader prediction to USC, the Trojans odds rose to 87.7%, up from 30%.
Conley says he has much to think about
The Trojans are both trending and leading, but there are some other contenders in his recruitment.
“I have had some really good visits,” Conley said. “USC, Arkansas, Utah, Auburn, and Texas.”
Conley tells me there “still a lot of things to think through, not ready to speak on all of it yet.”
Why USC would be the choice
“Just the opportunity at USC as far as football and after football. They have a great academic program there that’ll benefit me after I’m done playing football. USC is such a great academic university and I am always a student before athlete. I’m interested in engineering as of now.
“The coaching staff and the bond I have with the coaches is another big part of my interest in USC. I feel like it’s a great family environment and I get a long with the people well.“
“Coach Donte has a wealth of knowledge and we have a really good relationship,” Conley said previously. “Coach [Lincoln] Riley is a great guy! My family and I enjoyed meeting his family and spending time with them. USC being such a great academic university is great. I am always a student before athlete.”
“The people in the building make for a great environment.”
NIL Valuation
Conley has an On3 NIL Valuation of $29K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
