Predicting the Pac: Week One

We are back for a new season of predicting the Pac-12. Ultimately the final season as it turns out. With week one getting a Thursday start this week I figured I better get my conference predictions out now.
I think you could almost argue the Pac has one of the most intriguing opening weeks of any conference. Although I’ll certainly have my eye on that FSU-LSU game for sure. But we aren’t here to talk about that, we’re here to talk Pac.
Here are the games this week and my picks.
Florida @ Utah
Thursday 5:00 ESPN
I’ve already said it but I think Florida wins this one. And I don’t think the Gators will be all that good this year. But Utah will possibly play minus Cam Rising so I’m betting on Florida to win 24-17.
Southern Utah @ ASU
Thursday 7:00
The premiere of Dilly at ASU. It will certainly be interesting to see how the team does but they should have no problem beating Southern Utah. ASU 31, SU 14
Stanford @ Hawaii
Friday 8:00 CBSSN
Equally as interesting as ASU will be seeing Troy Taylor’s debut at Stanford. They should have no issues handling Hawaii but it might be a bit closer than you’d expect. Stanford 27, Hawaii 20
Colorado @ TCU
Saturday 9:00AM Fox
Good luck Deion. Even with TCU taking a big step down this season, they’ll still cruise past the Buffs without breaking a sweat. TCU 37, Colorado 17
Boise State @ Washington
Saturday 12:30 ABC
I think I speak for all of us that would love to see Andy Avalos put a beating on UW. Unfortunately I don’t think he will. Maybe they’ll manage to keep it close though? Washington 34, Boise 20
Cal @ North Texas
Saturday 1:00 ESPNU
Cal needs a dub. North Texas will be tough but the Bears get the win. Cal 20, NT 10
Nevada @ USC
Saturday 3:30 Pac-12
The Trojans move to 2-0 on the season without breaking a sweat. USC 45, Nevada 7
Wazzu @ Colorado State
Saturday 4:00 CBSSN
Washington State also gets the easy dub and people remember Cam Ward is REALLY good. Wazzu 37, CS 17
Northern Arizona @ Arizona
Saturday 7:00 Pac-12
Easy dub for Zona too. Arizona 35, NAU 10
Coastal Carolina @ UCLA
Saturday 7:30 ESPN
PAC-12 AFTER DARK BABY. This should be a fun one. As you know I have a lot of faith in UCLA this season. I think they win but have to grit this one out. UCLA 40, CC 30
