Pittsburgh DT commit Francis Brewu visiting Michigan State
Michigan State is hosting three-star defensive tackle Francis Brewu, of Columbus (Ohio) Thomas Worthington for an unofficial visit today (Sept. 16). Brewu has been committed to Pittsburgh since March of 2023. The Spartans and defensive line coach Diron Reynolds offered the 6-foot-3, 265-pound lineman in June.
The Pittsburgh commitment will visit alongside Cleveland, Ohio four-star defensive tackle Dominic Kirks. Kirks is currently committed to Washington.
Brewu made his first visit to Michigan State for the Spartan Dawg Con event in July. The second visit is significant, as he takes in the Spartans matchup against top ten ranked Washington.
The Ohio lineman is ranked a three-star, the No. 798 overall recruit, the No. 32 recruit in Ohio. He is also ranked the No. 79 defensive lineman in the 2024 On3 Industry Rankings.
Brewu was recently offered by Miami (FL). His other offers include Cincinnati, Minnesota, Duke, Wisconsin, and others.
Brewu has started his high school season strong with two-and-a-half sacks in the first two games, with ten tackles for a loss and many quarterback hurries.
Michigan State 2024 commits, four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh, four-star offensive lineman Andrew Dennis, four-star safety Reggie Powers, and three-star linebacker Jadyn Walker, are also be visiting East Lansing this week.
Class of 2026 target, Davison, Michigan offensive lineman Ben Nichols, will also be in attendance.
