Pitt basketball announces freshman Dior Johnson no longer attending school
Dior Johnson is no longer with the Pittsburgh basketball team, per Jeff Goodman.
“Johnson had been kicked off campus after an alleged domestic violence incident, then was reinstated and went the team on their recent trip to Spain,” Goodman wrote on Twitter. “Told there was no other recent incident that occurred, per source.”
Johnson was entering his redshirt freshman season at Pitt. He was a four-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting cycle, according to On3 Industry Ratings. Additionally, he was the No. 50 player in his class. Johnson was the highest-rated signee under head coach Jeff Capel and the highest-rated signee at Pitt since Stephen Adams in 2012.
