Penn State sits high on 4-star WR Nick Marsh’s list

Nick Marsh is off to Kansas for an official visit this weekend. He will be back at Michigan State next before announcing his decision on July 7. The No. 118 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking took an official visit to Pittsburgh on June 2 and he was in Happy Valley this past weekend for his official visit to Penn State.
It is down to those four schools for the 6-foot-3, 198-pound four-star wide receiver out of River Rouge (Mich.). The Nittany Lions did not hurt their chances when they had Marsh on campus recently.
“The official visit was even a little better than expected,” Marsh told On3. “This was my second time there and I got to see a little more than the first time, I got to spend more time with the coaches and I just felt the vibe there.
“The vibe and culture is all about football. It is a big football city, there is a lot of history there and the people at Penn State will take of you on and off the field. Penn State builds the community off of football and I like that.”
Marsh soaked it all in on the visit. The stadium and its size caught his attention. He liked how the coaches presented what Penn State has to offer on and off the field. The vibe caught his attention too.
“I can imagine myself at Penn State. The coaches are great and I like what their football program is about and what I learned about their program for life after football. I think highly of Penn State. After what I saw and what I felt on this visit, it puts Penn State high on my scale.”
Marsh has a good connection with Marques Hagans
James Franklin is involved as are other staffers at Penn State, but wide receivers coach Marques Hagans leads that way with Marsh. The two communicate regularly and they spent a lot of time together on this visit.
“Coach Hagans made it very clear that he and Penn State want me there,” Marsha said. “That was a big factor for me. He made me feel like a top priority. Coach Hagans spent a lot of time with me, we talked about a lot of things and he made me feel like a No. 1 guy.
“Our relationship is strong, I like him as a person and coach Hagans is a coach I feel good around. I enjoyed my time with him.”
