Packed recruiting intel: Saturday NC State OV update

NC State’s busiest official visit weekend of the summer is halfway done, and the recruits stopped by the Wolfpack’s final camp of the year to watch their potential future position coaches work.
TheWolfpacker.com spoke with several prospects in attendance who shared updates on their visits and respective recruitments.
First, I heard from a source that wide receiver recruiting is going well so far this weekend. That does not guarantee a commitment, but it does sound like NC State is doing all it can to make a positive impression on Jonathan Paylor, Alex Taylor and Terrell Anderson. Heading into the second half of the trip, I would give the Pack the best chance with Anderson.
Here are some updates on 7 of the 12 recruits on campus right now.
Four-star wide receiver Terrell Anderson
Every time Anderson visits NC State, he has a great time. This visit is no different so far. He is learning more about the campus and spending time with his host— freshman tight end Juice Vereen, who was a pretty impressive recruiter for the 2023 class. The receiver told TheWolfpacker.com that he still plans on committing in August and will take trips to Tennessee and potentially Penn State next week.
Four-star wide receiver Jonathan Paylor
In a quick update with TheWolfpacker.com, Paylor said there is no update on NC State’s standing in his recruitment. He previously shared that the Pack remains close behind South Carolina. Going into his second day on campus, he said the trip is going well.
Four-star wide receiver Alex Taylor
Taylor visited UNC earlier this week unofficially before making the trip to Raleigh. Terrell Timmons Jr., who has an established bond with the fellow Greensboro-native, hosted the receiver this weekend. Taylor will stop by Penn State for a mid-week visit before traveling to UNC for his final official. He still plans on committing July 29.
Three-star offensive lineman Robby Martin
Robby Martin was very clearly having a great time during his visit, hanging out with the current players and looked very comfortable with the Wolfpack.
“I think I fit in with some of the players well,” Martin said.
He shared that the visit is going well so far. This is his third time on campus, and he has built a solid bond with offensive line coach Garett Tujague that continues to grow. Martin visited West Virginia last weekend and will head to Pittsburgh next. NC State appears to be in a good spot right now going into a late-June decision.
Three-star defensive back commit Asaad Brown II
Asaad Brown II said the visit is going well so far, and his family is really enjoying the trip. He is also doing some recruiting for the Wolfpack.
Three-star defensive lineman Josh Alexander-Felton
Josh Alexander-Felton’s trip to NC State is his first official visit. Defensive line coach Charley Wiles built a strong bond with the lineman and his mother over the past few months, and the trip is off to a good start.
“It feels like a family, it feels like a Pack, like I’m one of them,” Alexander-Felton said. “It’s a vibe out here man.”
This weekend is also his first time at NC State. During his official visits, he looks for hospitality, stability and comfort. Following his trip to Raleigh, he will stop Maryland next week before taking trips to UCF and Pitt in the fall.
Alexander-Felton was also very enthusiastic about his ability and willingness to play anywhere on NC State’s defensive line.
Offensive tackle Trent Mitchell
Trent Mitchell’s NC State visit is sandwiched between trips to ECU and Maryland. He told TheWolfpacker.com that he does still plan on taking his trip to see the Terrapins next week and will most likely commit after that. The lineman measured at 6-5, 285 pounds on the visit.
