‘Oz the Mentalist’ correctly predicted Final Four and major upset before NCAA Tournament began

“Oz the Mentalist” has long had a history of amazing viewers with his uncanny ability to seemingly predict the future. And he did it again with this year’s Final Four.
Not only did Oz, whose real name is Oz Pearlman, correctly predict the Final Four, he also pegged one of the biggest upsets in the NCAA Tournament. He joined the CBS studio crew ahead of the Elite Eight games on Sunday afternoon to review his predictions.
“I said, before we started, March 20 when we sealed this, our bracket buster would be Arkansas beating St. John’s,” Oz said. “A two gets taken down by a 10.”
You can watch Oz reviewing his sealed predictions below. It’s really something else.
While the picks themselves might not have been outlandish — Oz mostly picked the heavy favorites — how he got there was impressive. And he knew his NCAA Tournament history, too.
“I said Florida will beat Texas Tech. No. 1,” Oz said. “Duke will beat Alabama. Today, watch. Houston will beat Tennessee, Auburn will beat MSU. Four No. 1 seeds make it for the first time since 2008. In 17 years, mark my word. Second time in tournament history.”
That’s exactly how things played out on Sunday. Neither game was particularly in question, unlike the Florida-Texas Tech result on Saturday night. Auburn simply sealed the deal against Michigan State, even with an injury to star big man Johni Broome.
So Oz nailed it. Now we’ll get to see how the rest of the tournament played out. Not before Oz claimed the win, though.
“This was sealed at the start of the tournament,” he said. “Every team in the Elite Eight and the future is here. Remember this moment.”‘
The Final Four will begin on Saturday, with Florida taking on Auburn in the early game and Duke taking on Houston in the late game.
