OU defensive tackle David Stone enters transfer portal

OU sophomore and former five-star defensive tackle David Stone has entered the transfer portal.

This is shocking news for Oklahoma, as Stone was the prize piece of the 2024 recruiting class. He was expected to be a big piece of the 2025 defense, after playing in all 13 games as a true freshman in a backup role. He totaled six tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack in 2024.

It’s unclear as to why Stone entered the portal. He was expected to be a key part on the defensive line next season, working alongside Jayden Jackson, Damonic Williams and Gracen Halton. Oklahoma will likely now look to the portal to find another defensive tackle.
