Ottawa Senators fans boo American national anthem amid Canada battle with President Donald Trump

The United States national anthem was met with a rain of boos at an NHL game in Canada on Saturday evening. The Ottawa Senators were preparing to host the Minnesota Wild for a match and, as is typical, the anthem was played before the game.
However, the reaction from the crowd was far from usual as fans voiced their displeasure at the anthem loudly. The chorus of boos is not coincidental, as it comes amid United States president Donald Trump signing an order imposing tariffs on imports from Candada, as well as Mexico an China.
