Oscar Tshiebwe signs two-way contract with Utah Jazz

Former Kentucky Wildcats basketball star big man Oscar Tshiebwe has found a new NBA home. After starting his career in the pros with the Indiana Pacers and their G League affiliate, the Indiana Mad Ants, the former 2022 Naismith Men’s College Basketball Player of the Year recipient, is heading to the Western Conference after signing a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz.

Tshiebwe appeared in just eight games at the NBA level as a rookie last season. For the Pacers, he would average just 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds while featuring in 5.3 minutes per contest. However, when it came to the G League, Tshiebwe shined brightly. For the Mad Ants, the former Wildcat started in 21 games while appearing in 23 and averaged 16.2 points, 16.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while seeing 27.2 minutes of action a game. That was good enough to earn Tshiebwe all NBA G League first-team honors and the Kia NBA G League Rookie of the Year award.
