Oregon, Oklahoma and Baylor in the mix early with 2025 On300 WR Adrian Wilson

Oregon, Oklahoma and Baylor in the mix early with 2025 On300 WR Adrian Wilson

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Schools from coast to coast have flooded their way into the Austin area to get a look at On300 wide receiver Adrian Wilson this spring.

Wilson, the No. 36-ranked player in the On300 for the 2025 class, has seen his offer sheet swell up in recent months with overtures from Baylor, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Oregon, TCU, Kansas State, Houston and Ole Miss, among others.

Three schools have quickly caught Wilson’s attention: Oregon, Oklahoma and Baylor.

“It’s been a fun experience,” Wilson told On3. “My last spring football last year was nothing like this. It’s great to finally have college coaches around and to finally get some college offers under my belt.”

Ducks, Sooners and Bears create early buzz with Wilson

Former UTSA playcaller Will Stein has hit the ground running since landing in Eugene last December as Oregon’s new offensive coordinator.

Stein has been a major presence in his old stomping grounds in Central Texas, which includes making Wilson an early priority for the Ducks.

“I definitely want to check out Oregon,” Wilson said. “It’s far and I haven’t been able to visit, and that’s been a dream school of mine for a while.”

“I was originally a big fan of Marcus Mariota when my brother played quarterback,” he continued. “We watched him all the time. We loved the breast cancer awareness uniforms and how many different uniform combinations they had … Coach Stein is a great coach. In general, he talks well, he knows what kids want to hear and he can coach well, and he’s a great man in general.”

Wilson was in Norman back in March when he landed an offer from first-year Sooners WR coach Emmett Jones. Jones and Brent Venables have stayed present with the On3 top-40 recruit ever since.

“I really like Emmett Jones,” Wilson said. “He’s the old Texas Tech WR coach and he’s a good coach. He and Coach Venables, when I was there, they really welcomed me with open arms and treated me well when I was there. They promised they’d offer me when I was there, but what really stuck with me was that they didn’t give us the full experience. They want us to keep coming back and visiting again, and that’s something that stuck with me.”

“Coach Jones walked us through film and how they would use me and each individual player in the offense, too, which was cool,” he added.

Baylor was the first to extend an offer in the direction of the Pflugerville (Texas) Weiss wide receiver.

“They’re really doing a good job,” Wilson said. “Coach (Dallas) Baker is doing a good job at Baylor. He was the first to offer me and that was a good way for him to start a connection. We talk once a day and we talk about life, life off the field and not just on the field.”
