Oregon lands commitment from Penn State F Miles Goodman

After receiving a commitment from former Elon guard Takai “TK” Simpkins on Wednesday evening, the Ducks strike for the second time of the week. This time the Ducks have landed a developmental big, originally from the PNW, Miles Goodman.
The 6’11 225 freshman power forward only appeared in 13 games this season, getting 5.9 minutes per contest. Goodman received double digit minutes in only 3 games this season, against Illinois, Iowa, and UCLA. In each of those games, he was able to grab 3 rebounds, and had 4 points in the UCLA game. Goodman was a top 100 recruit in the 2024 class according to On3’s Industry Rankings. Miles was tabbed as the No. 114 recruit in the country, and No. 18 Power Forward according to On3.
Oregon now sits with 12-13 players on next year’s roster, as I still have no clear answer on Andre Warren’s future with the team. The Ducks have 6 guards, including Drew Carter on the team, 5 forwards including Luke Johnson, and a lone center if Nate Bittle opts to return. I like the additional, and think it could be a sign that the staff believes in Kwame’s ability, but wanted a backup with some upside for the future.
