On3’s No. 1 ranked 2025 LB Ty Jackson has several game visits scheduled

On3’s No. 1 ranked 2025 LB Ty Jackson has several game visits scheduled

The fall visit plans for On3’s No. 1 ranked linebacker in the 2025 class in Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole Ridge’s Ty Jackson are taking shape.

“It’s been a busy month with the season starting this coming Friday and trying to travel and catch some of these big games and see them in person,” Jackson’s father Semaj explained. “It’s going to be a busy season between now and Dec. 4’s Signing Day.”

Jackson is just one of a few blue-chippers that heads into the season uncommitted.

“I told him to take his time,” the elder Jackson said. “It’s better than going and committing somewhere and coming back later and getting flipped and decommitting.”

Gators aim to break out in front of Ty Jackson

Florida is still set to get Jackson back on campus for the first game of the season against Miami. He ended his summer in Gainesville and also took an official in June. The family has been on campus many times.

“Just to see them put everything together,” Semaj said. “It’s time to put up right about now.

“We’ve done the spring and time to kick off the ball and let the chips fall where they may. See all the preparation to the weight room, changing the nutritionist, bringing in the new strength and conditioning coaches. It’s time to put up. That’s something we’re looking forward to.

“Going up there we’ve obviously built a rapport with the coaching staff and everyone up there. It’s time.”

Trojans taking their swing

The second weekend of September Jackson will take his official visit to USC. It will be his first time out West.

“They came out and visited Ty at his school a few months ago,” Semaj said. “Coach Henny (Eric Henderson), he flew out and came to the school and spoke with Ty, mom and myself for a lengthy time and stayed in communication with them over the phone. They had to get their situation good as far as bringing Ty over. They always kept the interest and kept in constant communication. That’s the date we projected and planning to get out there. It’s an opportunity. Don’t want to leave any stone unturned and want to show Ty what they can offer and show USC can be an option for him. We’re going to seize that opportunity and take the trip. That’s the farthest he has traveled in the recruiting process.”

Alabama is a front runner for Jackson

The Jackson camp will be back at Alabama on Sept. 28 for the showdown against Georgia.

“SEC, can’t deny they’re a big power program,” Semaj said. “Bama checks a lot of the boxes from the development, the tradition, the sports nutrition, the training facility. They just check all the boxes when it comes to Bama. Beautiful campus. They are as close as you can get to the total package.

“That’s just Dad speaking. That’s not Ty. Ultimately it’s his decision. He’s the one that has to feel that certain kind of way about the team. Ultimately he’ll be the one going there.”

Penn State will get another look

The Penn State White Out game on Nov. 9 is getting lined up.

“I’ve heard a lot about that game,” Semaj said. “Everybody from alumni, they all mention that game. It’s a must see bucket list. I heard you go to that game it makes you want to commit. Seen so many videos on YouTube.”

The Jackson family took their official to Penn State during the summer.

“That’s Linebacker U,” Jackson said. “Definitely in the mix. Great program. James Franklin to Ja’Juan (Seider). He has a rapport with Ty. He recruits heavily down here in the South Florida area.”

Seminoles get the final opportunity, while another SEC program is in the mix

Florida State is still set for the last visit, and it’s an official, of the process. The Jacksons will be there the weekend of Nov. 30 for the Florida game.

“His mother is alumni,” Semaj said. “Randy Shannon, Ernie Sims over there at Florida State.”

Tennessee could move on the calendar the weekend of Oct. 19. They host Alabama that day.

“He’s been in communication with Tennessee lately,” the elder Jackson said. “We’ll see how that plays out and how it goes. Initially that was his first big offer out of the gate.”

On3 ranks Jackson as the nation’s No. 25 prospect regardless of position. He’s had over 100 tackles in each of his first three prep seasons and heads into his final prep campaign with 378 stops.
