On300 Phoenix RB Christian Clark Sets USC Official Visit

Following his junior season, Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe athlete Christian Clark held offers from Colorado StateLiberty and New Mexico State. That changed on Jan. 11 when Arizona became his first Power Five offer.

The Wildcats ended up being the first of 22 offers over 26 days for Clark. Other schools to extend them included AlabamaGeorgiaMiamiOregonTexas and USC. Clark now holds 27 offers including Alabama, Georgia, USC, Oregon, Miami, and Stanford.

He’s made the rounds in 2023 with stops at Arizona State, Georgia, Alabama, USC, Oregon, and Texas.

Clark had a strong junior campaign, highlighted by a 63-35 win over Phoenix Desert Vista in which he ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns, caught two passes for 38 yards and recorded eight tackles. He felt like his “whole season just changed” after that performance.

Eventually, his recruitment did too. Before the dead period ended, Clark took unofficial visits to Arizona, Oregon, USC (March 4), Georgia (March 16) and Alabama (March 20).

“I prayed on it, so it really didn’t surprise me,” said Clark, who may be ready to make a school chalice by there end of Summer. “But it did surprise me how fast it all happened.”

Upcoming Spring/Summer Official Visits

The first official visit set by Clark was for a trip to Austin to see the Texas Longhorns June 17-19. WeAreSC was informed Thursday night that Clark has locked in a May 19-21 USC official visit. We’re told Georgia

Clark has daily communication with USC’s staff. He speaks to head coach Lincoln Riley and running backs coach Kiel McDonald, who he called “great people.”

On his visit, Clark is excited to learn more about what USC offers on and off the field, since he wants to major in communications. Clark has already heard good things about the Trojans from Arizona transfer wide receiver Dorian Singer, who told him USC “is the place to be.”

The USC Offense

“They’ve got a very effective offense,” Clark said. “I like how they used Raleek Brown this year. I like Caleb Williams. He might be the best player in college football.”

McDonald’s work with Brown, Travis Dye and Austin Jones also caught Clark’s eye.

“Every single running back (from USC), I think, is gonna go to the league,” he said. “I think they’re very dangerous in their own way. They’re unique in their own way. They could do different things. I think I would thrive in that offense.”

On3 Industry Ranking

Clark is the No. 261 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 21 running back and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Arizona.
