On3 top-75 EDGE CJ Jackson commits to Georgia Tech

Tucker (Ga.) four-star EDGE CJ Jackson has committed to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He announced the news on Instagram.

He picked Georgia tech over Alabama, Clemson, South Carolina, LSU, Texas A&M, Auburn, Oklahoma, Georgia and Colorado.

Jackson is the No. 191 overall prospect and No. 14 EDGE in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 29 player in Georgia.

On3 rates Jackson higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 75 overall prospect, No. 7 EDGE and the No. 13 player in Georgia.

“I’ve always felt like I was capable of getting these offers and doing everything that I’m doing now,” Jackson told On3’s Jeremy Johnson last November. “I feel like hard work pays off. That’s something that I believe. I’ve seen my mom work hard to accomplish the things she’s accomplished. Hard work pays off. Not to sound cocky, but I knew one of these days someone was going to take a chance. It’s opened up the floodgates.”

Jackson first visited Georgia Tech last March. The Yellow Jackets extended him an offer on Jan. 3 and he was back on campus a few weeks later.

He would return to Georgia Tech again in April.
