On3 top-40 IOL Casey Poe visits Texas A&M

Lindale (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Casey Poe visited Texas A&M on Saturday. He shared pictures from the visit on Twitter.

Poe is the No. 142 overall prospect and No. 6 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 28 player in Texas.

On3 rates Poe higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 32 overall prospect, No. 1 interior offensive lineman and No. 7 player in Texas.

I had a great time today sitting in with the coaches and watching practice at @AggieFootball! Thank y’all for the great hospitality and allowing me to come visit! @Coach_Cochran @TJRushing20 @LouieAddazio @TexAgs @Jason_Howell #GigEm @AggieNetwork pic.twitter.com/k96lAqyF2X

The 6-foot-4.5, 285-pounder holds several Power Five offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Oklahoma with a narrow lead over Texas Tech to land a commitment from Poe.

“[The visit went great! I got a good feel for the place, and got treated like a king,” Poe told On3 following the January visit. “I spent a majority of the time with coach Addazio, his son, and I spent spent some time with Coach Fisher too. It definitely exceeded my expectations!”

Poe’s trip to Texas A&M was the second he’s taken this year. He last visited the Aggies on Jan. 21.

Other visits Poe’s taken this year include Oklahoma (Jan. 28), TCU (Jan. 29), LSU (March 4), Georgia Tech (March 12), Auburn (March 13) and Texas Tech (April 1).

Poe currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $84K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Poe would add to another strong class for the Aggies

Texas A&M finished the 2022 recruiting cycle with one of the best classes in history. While they weren’t quite able replicate that level of success in 2023, the Aggies still signed a top-15 class.

The Aggies seem to be on their way to building another top-15 class this cycle. Texas A&M currently has four commitments and their class ranks as the No. 16 class in the country and the No. 8 class in the SEC.

Their four commitments are Longview (Texas) Pine Tree four-star defensive lineman Dealyn Evans, Katy (Texas) Tompkins interior offensive lineman Ashton Funk, Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove three-star quarterback Anthony Maddox and Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton three-star wide receiver Debron Gatling.
