On3 4-star PF Cody Peck updates his recruitment talking NC State, Wake Forest, Creighton, and more

Cody Peck is one of the fastest-rising prospects in the Southeast this Summer. The 6-foot-10 power forward is currently On3’s No. 68 overall player in the 2026 On3 150.

“Especially recently, I’ve been working on exaggerating my ability to stretch the floor and knock down threes,” Peck told On3. “I think I’ve shown I can do that this Summer. I’ve been more aggressive in attacking the rim also. Defensively, I’m working on staying solid. My best attribute is blocking shots so I am focusing on my timing and not fouling.”

On3 was able to catch up with four-star Cody Peck recently to discuss the latest in his recruitment.

“I’ve got offers from Alabama, NC State, Creighton, Clemson, Saint John’s, LSU, Dayton, East Carolina, Charlotte, Marshall, and some others,” Peck said. “I’ve been on campus at NC State and Charlotte so far.”

Peck talks NC State

“I didn’t get to visit all their facilities when I went there,” Peck said. “But I went to a game and was able to go into the lover room after. I would say the energy there was crazy. The players, the way they are always engaged, I think that was a really cool experience. I liked watching DJ Burns last year. It looked like they all had defined roles and everyone played into them. I think that had a lot to do with their success last season.”

When Coach (Kevin) Keatts called me to offer it was a surprise. That was really exciting to me because I love NC State. He had been talking with my dad (Michael Peck) and my aunt (Carolyn Peck) for a while, I think he is friends with my aunt.”

Cody Peck discusses Creighton, Wake Forest, & Marshall

WAKE FOREST: “At the end of the last live period they called me the next day and offered me. They have a great program. A lot of the good players, the hoopers I know get offers from Wake Forest. It’s a big school and they have a good basketball history. “

CREIGHTON: “They said they like my ability to be a bigger player when I need to, but also being able to stretch the floor and space out things when I need to.”

MARSHALL: “That is where my dad played. I actually wanted Marshall to be my first offer, but that was really great just having them offer me. My coach last year at Carmel Christian played there too. My dad knows all their coaches, so it was really cool to have that family connection.”

“Tennessee and Ohio State are some schools that I’m hearing from right now and haven’t offered yet,” Peck said.

In his words

“I’m talking with some schools about taking some unofficial visits in the Fall,” Peck said.

“I’m going to be looking at the feel of the school if they have a family-like atmosphere. Winning is the most important thing to me, that goes without saying, but I want to be happy where I am at. I’ll look at the practices, I want them to be intense and to be competitive, but I also want to have good relationships with my teammates.`I don’t want to be a player who moves around and transfers every year.

“The playstyle of the school is going to play a factor as well. I don’t want to be stuck in the post because of my size, I’d like to play a stretch role at the next level.”
