On3 4-star EDGE Amontrae Bradford recaps his official visit to Texas A&M

Statesboro (Ga.) EDGE Amontrae Bradford took official visits to Georgia Tech, Indiana Vanderbilt in June. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound three-star EDGE out of Statesboro (Ga.) spent the weekend at Colorado in September, and this weekend, he tripped to Texas A&M.

Kentucky and a few others were working to get Bradford on campus this fall, but the multi-day visit to College Station may be his last.

“I am getting close to a decision,” Bradford told On3. “I think this visit was probably my last and now I will think about the different schools and work to make my decision.”

The Aggies had the No. 291 prospect in the On300 on campus for the first time in July for their pool part. He saw a lot of what Texas A&M had to offer then and he liked what he saw this weekend too.

“It was one of the loudest stadiums I have been in. The fans were loud and it was a great atmosphere. The team lost, but they played great. A few things could have gone better or different and they could have won the game. Overall, it was pretty amazing out there at the game.”

The game-day environment was the biggest highlight for Bradford. He had one-on-one ttime with Jimbo Fisher and Elijah Robinson too. Their message was clear.

“Coach Fisher made it clear that he not only wanted me, but he needed me. That is big for me because you want to go where you are wanted. Talking to him was great too. He is a great dude and he is getting ready to do big things at Texas A&M.

“Then Coach E was great too. I spent the most time with him and we went over my film, their film and I really saw how I could fit into their defense. They want me at their BUCK position I think I can fit in perfectly.

“It was great being around them. Both are good guys and I can’t even think of a bad thing to say about either of them.”

Bradford arrived Saturday morning and left Sunday evening, so the official visit was pretty quick, but the SEC program gave the No. 27 EDGE in the country a good idea of what they are about.

“It was a very good experience,” Bradford added. “I saw a lot of Texas A&M on my first visit, but I learned about my position, I saw a crazy crowd and this was another good visit for me.”
