Ole Miss offers 2025 four-star small forward Jamier Jones

Chris Beard continues to go after the best of the best around the country. On Sunday, Ole Miss extended an offer to 2025 Oak Ridge (Fla.) small forward Jamier Jones.
Jones is currently the 13th overall prospect in the country, per On3’s Industry Ranking. He is the No. 2 small forward in the nation and the 3rd-ranked prospect in the Sunshine State. He has recently added impressive offers from the likes of Houston, Indiana, Kansas and Texas A&M. He spoke with On3’s Joe Tipton about the impact an offer from Kelvin Sampson and the Cougars has had on him.
“It’s definitely a big one,” Jones said. “I haven’t watched them in person yet but I’ve been watching them on TV and stuff like that. It’s exciting to get an offer from a top team like that.”
Arkansas, Florida and Texas Tech, among others, have also shown interest.
Jamier Jones is also hoping for an offer from Kentucky.
“The atmosphere is crazy,” he said. “Why wouldn’t you want to play there? They’re a blue-blood, so you can’t go wrong with them.”
While Kentucky hasn’t reached out yet, Jones is hearing from several high-major programs. He spoke with On3’s Jacob Polacheck about the frenzy of contact from coaches in a short amount of time.
“It’s been crazy,” Jones said. “My phone has been ringing nonstop. It’s a blessing. You have to take it for what it is.”
As for what he’s looking for in a program, Jones said, “just somewhere they produce my type of guard.”
“Where the coaches like me, where they trust me, and have good players around me,” he said.

Jamier Jones played his sophomore season at IMG Academy.
The super entertaining front court player was at Riverview (Fla.) as a freshman and exploded onto the scene in Florida with his powerful dunks, devastating transition finishes and aggressive play on the defensive end.
Looking ahead to 2025, though, Ole Miss has zero commits.
But the new staff has extended several offers. Let’s take a look at where the Top 150 prospects are Beard wants to join him in Oxford, Miss. at Ole Miss. The Rebels are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2022-2023 season and are after some of the country’s best.

Jamier Jones played his freshman season with 2024 Ole Miss commit Jason Jackson.
While at Riverview High School, Jackson averaged 17.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, three assists and two steals per game during the 2021-2022 season. Eric Bossi of 247Sports saw him last summer at the NBPA Top 100 camp and came away impressed.
“He’s a lengthy two guard who has tremendous burst and explosion when going to the rim and he makes just enough jumpers to keep defenders honest. His body should really explode in the weight room, and he’s got all the tools to be a high end defender in the Big 12 who can lock up from one through three.”
The dynamic athlete scored north of 1,000 points in high school and will look to improve his overall game next season in Overtime Elite.
