Ohio State came into the weekend in great position with On300 DL Trajen Odom

Ohio State has the On3 Industry’s No. 1 ranked recruiting class. Head coach Ryan Day and his staff are hoping to ultimately add to it with several top targets visiting Columbus this weekend.

One of the biggest names on campus is Matthews (NC) Weddington On300 defensive lineman Trajen Odom.

The four-star Odom was also at Ohio State at the end of May so the Big Ten powerhouse is one he’s giving a big look.

“My experience was great being around all the coaches and players,” Odom said of his most recent experience. “They have a great program and great talent on both sides of the ball, and have a strong team and chance to win the championship. 

“The plan they have for me if I go also excites me.”

The 6-foot-5, 283-pound Odom has Ohio State in his top six alongside Colorado, Georgia, Oregon, UCLA and USC.

“It compares (well) but also really stands out too and competes high with some others,” Odom said of Ohio State’s position.

“Just the plan they have for me to succeed at the next level and the family feel there.”

The On3 Industry ranks Odom as the nation’s No. 23 defensive lineman. On3 slots Odom higher, putting him at No. 13 and No. 138 respectively.
