Offensive line target Jackson Christian talks Texas
Port Neches, Texas – One of the top offensive line targets in the 2025 cycle for the Texas Longhorns is Jackson Christian.
The 6-foot-4.5, 305-pound right tackle with an 82-inch wingspan was on the radar of Kyle Flood ahead of the June 11 Texas Camp.
After an impressive performance at a loaded camp of offensive and defensive lineman, the Longhorns extended an offer.
“I was very surprised that I got a Texas offer this early,” Christian said Wednesday. “I wouldn’t have thought I would get one this early, but I’m very appreciative I got the offer. Texas is a very good school.”
After going through some drills, the offer was made by Steve Sarkisian.
“After all the drills, he (Sarkisian) said I have an offer. Then I went and did one-on-one’s.”
Christian made a return visit July 27 for the Pool Party
Following the offer, Jackson Christian and Texas have stayed in contact. Christian reciprocated the Texas interest by returning for the July 27 Pool Party recruiting event with his family.
“It was amazing. It was a very good atmosphere. All the coaches were nice, and it was great to watch practice. It was just a great atmosphere.”
Christian has offers from Texas, UTSA, Texas State and North Texas. Utah called Port Neches-Groves Wednesday morning, and could enter the race soon. Missouri is another school that is showing serious interest early on.
Christian was named 9-5A First-Team All-District following the 2022 season. A season that saw PN-G advance all the way to the 5A State Championship Game before losing to Dallas South Oak Cliff 34-24. Head coach Jeff Joseph led the Indians to the State Championship Game in his first season as a head coach.
