O-line intel on two South Oak Cliff prospects at Texas’ Elite Camp
Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff won UIL 5A Division II championships in 2021 and 2022 and came just three points short of winning the 5A Division I title in 2023 thanks to high-quality play along the offensive line. Many of the Golden Bears who brought SOC to Arlington have moved on the the FBS level, and younger prospects are working to maintain the standard at “The Mecca.”
Two of those prospects were at Texas’ Elite Camp on Saturday and one walked away with an offer.
Cortavious Tisaby, OL, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff – 2026
A transfer from Grand Prairie, the 6-foot-7, 305-pounder has been a hot name on the recruiting trail and with good reason. IT first saw Tisaby at Texas’ Spring game when he didn’t have any offers. He arrived in Austin on Saturday with offers from Oregon, Kansas, SMU, Arizona, Arizona State, and others.
Tisaby said as far as the camp goes, he enjoyed working with Kyle Flood and loved how he coaches with passion. Tisaby said Texas felt like home already. Though he doesn’t have an offer, Tisaby is building a relationship with Flood and talks often with the Longhorns O-line coach. He competed at the camp in hopes of receiving one and hopes it comes soon.
Tisaby plans to visit Oklahoma, Houston, Texas Tech, and Texas A&M in the coming months. He’ll also make a return visit to Texas alter in the summer.
Tisaby is currently unranked.
Brian Swanson, OL, Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff – 2027
Swanson projects to being one of the top prospects in the nation before his senior year, and Texas is one of the schools in on his recruitment early after offering after the Elite Camp.
IT caught up with Swanson after the camp and when asked about the offer, Swanson was smiling ear to ear. He was extremely happy to earn the opportunity to play at Texas and stated the call from the Longhorns was one he really wanted.
Swanson said it was good working with Flood and learning from him. Swanson stated he loved how Flood was hands on and could tell he’s a very knowledgeable coach and one he could play for.
Swanson also liked seeing current Texas right guard DJ Campbell. Swanson and Campbell play the same position and have the same trainer in DFW. Campbell is someone the 6-foot-5, 297-pound Swanson looks up to and a player he wants to emulate at the next level.
As far as the rest of the summer, the only known visit for Swanson is a trip to Oklahoma on June 13 for a camp.
Swanson is currently unranked.
