Numerous blue-chip prospects to visit Florida Gators for matchup vs. Charlotte

One might think the recruiting turnout for Saturday’s game vs. Charlotte will be underwhelming; however, the Gators are planning to take advantage of every opportunity given to them.
That means regardless of the opponent, Billy Napier’s staff is aiming to host top-notch talent for each home game. And as of 48 hours out, that will be the case for this weekend too.
DJ Pickett, a five-star prospect and the No. 1 safety in the 2025 class, is visiting the Gators for the second consecutive weekend.
Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Miami and Oregon are some of the schools to monitor closely for the All-American out of Zephyrhills (Fla.) High. UF has received the most visits to this point.
Additional blue-chip juniors expected in attendance include Oregon wide receiver commit Dallas Wilson and top-100 prospect Darrell Johnson, who is being recruited to play linebacker.
Hailing from Tampa Bay Technical, Wilson is one of the premier pass catchers in the Sunshine State.
Billy Gonzales covets big-bodied pass catchers and the Pac-12 commit definitely fits that label at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. He was also supposed to attend last week’s game vs. Tennessee but did not make the trip.
Although he was just offered roughly a month ago, Wilson has emerged as a top flip target for Florida.
Johnson, a top target for Jay Bateman, is visiting the Gators for the third time this year. Florida is a top contender for the Peach State native early on. You can read more on him HERE.
Plenty of familiar faces will be present in the Swamp
Numerous Gators will be in town as well, including the Buchholz duo of Myles Graham and Kendall Jackson. Both defenders attended the previous two home games and will be inside the Swamp all fall.
As expected, there is no recruiting drama surrounding either of the seniors.
It’s the same situation for wide receiver Izaiah Williams and offensive tackle Mike Williams, as both prospects are not entertaining offers from additional programs.
As for Izaiah Williams, a four-star prospect from Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood, he committed earlier this year and is 100 percent healthy after missing all of 2022. And like Graham and Jackson, he will be in attendance for every home game.
Williams, a 6-foot-7 offensive tackle and former South Carolina commit, says his recruitment is completely shut down after committing over the summer. He plans on becoming an early enrollee as well.
