Alabama is in a tight race with Texas for a key wide receiver target
Alabama and Texas sources continue to feel optimistic about four-star WR Aeryn Hampton, who is set to announce on July 7. One source close to Hampton indicated this was going to be a very tough choice with Hampton liking both staffs, and colleges pretty much an equal amount. The same source said he felt Hampton went back and forth somewhat regularly. More might shake out as the decision date closes in.

Hampton recently spoke with BamaOnLine about his official visit to Alabama, and had the following to say about his June 9-11 visit.
“Alabama was great,” Hampton previously told BOL. “I spent a lot of time with Coach Saban and Coach [Holmon] Wiggins. It was a great visit. It was open and warm. They had a great environment and atmosphere out there. They never seem too Hollywood or nothing.”
