Northwestern players call hazing allegations ‘exaggerated and twisted’

Massive news came out of Evanston on Friday as the Northwestern football teams had hazing allegations drop. An investigation was conducted by the University following the conclusion of the 2022 season, with their findings being called “credible.”
Now, on Saturday night, a statement has been released by Wildcat players. They have called the accusations by Northwestern “exaggerated and twisted.” They believe the “fabrications” are an attempt to bring them and the coaching staff down.
“The recent allegations brought forth are exaggerated and twisted,” the statement read via Adam Rittenberg of ESPN. “It is disheartening to see the allegations brought forth against our team have been exaggerated and twisted into lies. These fabrications have been made with the intention of harming our program and tarnish the reputation of our dedicated players and coaching staff. We firmly deny the validity of these accusations and stand united in our assertion that they do not reflect the true character of our team.”
