In a semifinal for the Women’s College World Series, No. 2 Oklahoma met No. 4 Florida needing just one win to advance to yet another final. However, the two will now be meeting again on Tuesday after what the Gators did today at Devon Park.

Florida knocked off Oklahoma by a score of 9-3 on Monday. That has forced a second game between the two tomorrow with the winner of that one earning the chance to play for the national championship.

This six-run victory ended a 20-game winning streak, the longest such run in history, for Oklahoma in the Women’s College World Series. The Sooners hadn’t lost a contest on this stage since UCLA defeated them at 7-3 in the semifinals in 2022. They’d still go on to win their second consecutive national title, though, before going undefeated in the tournament en route to a three-peat last year.
