No. 4 CG Jeremiah Green leaves visit with Auburn ‘very high on the list’
Class of 2025 four-star combo guard Jeremiah Green took an official visit to Auburn basketball this weekend.
Green, who is from Denton, Texas, arrived in Auburn on Friday and stayed until Sunday. He attended a basketball scrimmage, as well as the football team’s game against No. 1 Georgia.
“It was great,” he said. “Just seeing the fans at the football game, the atmosphere, the family aspect. And then seeing the basketball scrimmage, I could definitely see myself fitting in their system. It was fun.”
Green’s player host was point guard Tre Donaldson.
“He’s a cool dude,” Green said. “We’re kind of the same. We’re both laid back and really focused. He was a great person to talk to and learn from.”
Auburn, Green said, is recruiting him to play a similar role as Donaldson.
“They are recruiting me to play point guard and also play off the ball,” he said. “They have a lot of motion in the offense, so I would come off the ball sometimes to get me into scoring position.”
Green developing bonds with Auburn coaches
First-year assistant Corey Williams is recruiting Green.
“He’s a cool dude,” Green said. “I’ve been able to bond with him a lot this weekend. He’s been in the league, so he knows what it takes. He really cares about me, too.”
Green also has developed a bond with Bruce Pearl.
“He’s cool, too,” Green said. “This is the first time I’ve ever really gotten to meet him and know him in person and he’s a really cool dude. He’s relatable and is a family guy. He really cares about you.”
Following the visit, Green said Auburn moved up his list.
“They are very high on the list,” he said. “They are really known for their point guards. They let their point guards rock. Coach Pearl has a lot of guards that have gone pro, so he knows what it takes. I feel like I could really thrive in their system.
Green next plans to visit TCU.
“It’s either next weekend or the next weekend,” he said. “After that, I won’t be taking anymore visits because the season will start.”
Auburn, Texas A&M, Houston, TCU and Kansas State are the main schools in his recruitment, Green said. He doesn’t plan to make a commitment anytime soon.
“Probably sometime after the season,” he said. “And I’ll be back to Auburn before I do it.”
The On3 Industry Ranking ranks Green the No. 51 overall recruit in the ’25 class and No. 4 combo guard.
